OUR STORY
Nestled in the heart of Allied Gardens, Mona's Italian Restaurant has been serving authentic, home-style Italian cuisine to the San Diego community in a warm and welcoming atmosphere for over 60 years.
Formerly known as Mona Lisa Italian Foods, the restaurant was purchased by two brothers in 2018, who continued its tradition of serving delicious Italian favorites while bringing their own passion and vision to the dining experience.
From handcrafted pizzas and classic pasta dishes to fresh salads and traditional Italian favorites, every meal is prepared with quality ingredients and care. For over four decades, the Guerrero brothers dedicated themselves to building a legacy rooted in hard work, loyalty, and a genuine passion for serving their community. Through years of perseverance and determination, they achieved the American dream by becoming the proud owners of the restaurant they helped sustain and grow.

After taking ownership, they honored the restaurant’s rich history while beginning an exciting new chapter. They introduced a new name, added fresh menu offerings while preserving all the beloved classics, and brought their own personal touch to create a welcoming dining experience for every guest.
